When you REALLY start to be very careful with your money you'll probably see many ways you can cut down. We have 1 college son and one who is just struggling. We advised them to write down EVERY penny they spend and what they spent it on. It's surprising how much actual waste there is! It has really cheered me up. I made holly curtains for the winter season for under $10 Manzanita Branch Monday, January 05, 2009 | By DKaz The librarian at the school I work at had this amazing display. She took two manzanita branches and painted them white. Then she put them in a plant pot and used smooth rocks (small enough for the palm of your hand but not pebbles) and used them to wedge the brabches into place. The end result should look like a mini tree in the winter . She then hung several "book" ornaments all over it. It was awesome! I adopted the idea myself and have my own jewelry tree that holds all of my necklaces, bracelets and earrings with those hooks. It looks very magical.
