Blog: chrystal's fight to own a home!

Starting 2009

Thursday, January 08, 2009

When i think about our trip down this road it scares the pants off me! We have had many set backs, vehicle repairs illnesses..ect! and our house savings account dwindled with each financial overload! So on my journey to make it happen i have made a new years resolution to cut up all but one credit card and leave the house-saving account alone, minus adding money to it!. So i will post more and keep you up dated! To date $1249.00 Needed for downpayment $5000.00 so far yet so close!

When you REALLY start to be very careful with your money you'll probably see many ways you can cut down. We have 1 college son and one who is just struggling. We advised them to write down EVERY penny they spend and what they spent it on. It's surprising how much actual waste there is! Good luck with the house!

Having a husband that is in love with protein bars and supplements and the gym doesn't help..i have encouraged him to try natural methods but nothing yet..
I look at the bank acoount and say we can't spend any extra money this month and he looks at it and says we have lots of money "what are you talking about" he forgets hwe have lots of bills! Sometimes i feel my own pain!

All is going well at home. Added another 100 to the account it is a long road but worth all the crunch and sacrifice. "cause no one ever got rich by spending all the coin they made!

Added another 100 to the house savin's account, remebering what i started this Blog for reminds me, I have another $2000, coming from a settlement from a legal issue. So in about 2 wks time the account will be almost $4000 so yeah me, so close yet so far, have set a new goal, need at least $6000 before we can look at houses, because the money from the settlement is to much easy money, need to still save! From Frezzing cold Alberta regards Chrystal and Family!
