living on a thousand a month
Tuesday, June 02, 2009 | By yard_sale_annie

i live on a thousand a month i don't shop at the dollar store they are to expensive and a waste of money..i like garage sales..i just came across a signature real coach purse for $3.00 and i have found many an expensive lipstick not opened for a quarter at a yard sale..you can buy everything you have ever dreamed of owning at a yard sale for the fraction of the cost and when you can't find it at a yard sale there is always freecycle.. and the garbage can on trash days..the only people that shop at the dollar store are people to lazy to shop around or lack the creativity to find other resources to get the item they need for a bargain

big tips

they make good tips that they don't have to claim on income tax..the average waitress at a good resteraunt on a busy night can hall in over a hundred dollars in tips before you add in the salary..my niece is a waitress and have heard this from her

get busy
Tuesday, June 02, 2009 | By knotwrong

I agree with yard_sale_annie get busy. Walk, clean house, plant some flowers (in yard or pots). If you get yourself busy you will find you don't have time to be sad or need medicine. Another thought: Reset your husband's alarm clock a little earlier in the morning - hop in the shower with him - when he says he has to get to work & does not have time tell him he has an extra 20 min---after a good nights sleep he might would be in the mood in the morning. (smiling) and don't give me the I'm overweight deal-I'm 20 pounds heavier & 20 years older BUT so what.......he is too

My heart goes out to you.....

First of all, I would suggest you make an appointment and talk to your doctor about post-partum depression. That alone can cause, and hinder you from dealing with, other problems.

Your doctor can prescribe medication and counseling, if needed.

Please don't delay....help is available!

Quick Learn...

I retired years ago, and went from $600 a week, to $290 a week. I first got rid of all, ALL of my credit cards, and use only my Debit/Credit card for all purchases. It took me a year to get over i had no money to spend freely.
Now, with a wee bit more weekly income... I have settled in to not eating out very often, perhaps once or twice a week.
I live alone, so cooking is fun, and I can fix what I want to eat when I want it. I buy at the farmer's market and frozen at the market. I am not a meat eater but I do eat fish, and I get my fish at Trader Joe's... it is good and not expensive.
Any single person can do what i want. I save enough to buy my daughter a twin stroller for her new additions to her family, two high chairs, and I didn't charge anything. I drive an older car, insurance is quite cheap and it is mechanically sound, so it doesn't require too much gas, and I change my own oil and oil filters.
After living in a big city and spending lots of money on food and drink, now I have learned how to live the easy life. I have no bills except for monthly living expenses.
YOU CAN DO IT!!! i did, and never thought I could!
Enjoy. i do shop the 99 cent store, and Target.

i am the same way i price all my yard sale stuff to what i would pay for it if i were to buy it..a reasonable price item sells faster than an over priced item.. like you said who wants to drag it back in after the sale..
