Lemon Tea Cookies

LEMON TEA COOKIES     

2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. milk
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
Lemon Glaze


Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Stir lemon juice into milk, set aside.
Stir together flour, baking powder, soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Beat butter, add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to butter mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12-14 minutes.
Brush on glaze.

LEMON GLAZE:
Stir together 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup lemon juice.

Long time no hear

It's been so long since I've been here and so much has happened since.

My place of emploment passed on giving me a chance for a management postion, I get two different reasons.

But it's on their hands not mine!

I recently got a raise from my job!

I don't know how much though.

My manager informed me that I was doing such a good job that he put in a request for me to recieve a raise.

I've only been with this company only three months!

Cabbage Soup

Before you say, YUCK!

Ley me say that before I tried this I use to HATE Cabbage, except in KFC coleslaw. It's good, hearty and Healthy. TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!

Half a small cabbge head, coarsely chopped

1 Tblsp. Olive Oil

1 Onion, coarsely chopped (or more depending on your taste)

1/2 package of baby carrots, cut up

3 Med. Potatoes, peeled (optional) and cut into bite size pieces

1 can Tomatos, chopped (for a slightly spicy verion get some with Green Chiles)

1 small can of tomato sauce

a few sprigs of Parsley, chopped up

1/2 pound ground round, chuck, or beef (your preference)

1 tsp. Paprika

Salt & Pepper to taste

In a 4 quart pot, heat the oil over medium heat until hot,but NOT Smoky! Add onions and sautee' until they look clear, stir well. Add cabbage, carrots and potatoes and add water to just cover vegggies. Alow to cook until it come to a boil and stirring once or twice and the LOWER THE FLAME! Add tomatos and sauce, stir. Add paprika and salt & pepper to taste. NOW! Heat the 1 tablespoon of oilive oil in a large skillet until hot, lower flame. Crumble or roll meat into little balls (about 1/2 inch) place in skillet and cook until brown on all sides. When done add to the cabbage. Stir and cook uncovered over low heat. Add parsley and add some oregeno if you like. Cook until potatoes and cabbage are done. and CHOW DOWN!!!

OPTIONAL: You can add 1 or more teaspoons of Hot Chilies for zest!
