Black of course! Thrift Stores like My Best Friends Closet... Wednesday, March 14, 2007 | By Tanya39 Are good places to get very nice and in good condition no alteration needed sort of evening gowns and bridesmaid gowns. These are upscale thrift stores. Try brides shops like Allen Evans in Minnesota which by the way has no sales tax on clothes. Believe a former lifetime Minnesotan. I moved for my health, but with the price of clothes it may well kill me yet with Taxes here in Arizona. I miss the no sales tax on clothes in Minnesota. If, you live near Saint Paul, Minn. You can drive there without having to go in to Minneapolis. Also try asking the school if they are having a dress sale for your grade's Prom. I have a blog this month entitled Here in Arizona and you click on that title. You can get to my blog info on contacting. Leave a message in my account mail if you have already been helped. My Best friends Closet is a consignment store for business and formals in Moorhead, Minn. the other side of the state in the North. You may be able to find a store like that in WI, or in Saint Paul. Well I hope you have a good day. Close the fridge door! Monday, March 12, 2007 | By Persnickety Paula I remember growing up and having my mom tell me (repeatedly) "turn off the light", or "close the refrigerator". But, I never was told why and just thought it was her nagging. Of course, now that I am an adult and paying the bills, I know why!! I think that it is important to teach children of all ages about what bills are, that they come every month, about setting the money aside to pay them, and even about writing checks out (and that someone has to work to earn that money!) My mother was the "accountant" of the family and she never sat us down to explain any of the household finances, and how we could help with the bills simply by turning off the light. My brother and I were never even given allowance, which I now think would have been helpful in teaching us how to budget our own money to buy the things we wanted. I never realized as a child how hard my dad had to work to earn the money to pay the bills; I think children need to be told that, and reminded of it. Tida coldwater Sunday, March 11, 2007 | By michawnpita I found this stuff a while back and LOVE it! I still wash my sheets, towels and undies in HOT water but everything else gets the Tide. It's a little bit more than standard deter (I can get the small one for $5.99 on sale) but it saves a great deal! I've seen my electricity bill go down! Now I wish they would sell it at the warehouses. BTW, Tide is the ONLY one on the market with this right now! Role Model Monday, March 05, 2007 | By ladybug987

I used to wear my wedding veil while vaccuuming in the nude - lol. It made vaccuming fun, well as fun as vaccuming can be. It also made me feel like the queen of the day. www.freecycle.org Thursday, March 01, 2007 | By Persnickety Paula Do you have a freecycle in your area? I would try to post on there that you are looking for a prom dress. Have a City Wide Prom Dress Exchange Thursday, March 01, 2007 | By Rockcandy248 I know that around here at prom time they have an event where girls come and trade old prom dresses or sell them for low costs. You could try to set one of those up and get dresses that way.
