Adding more to the Homestead
Sunday, September 23, 2007

WOW!  It's been a busy summer for our place!  We raised some meat birds for 6 weeks and they are now in the freezer!  YUM!  Fresh meat and I know where it's been and what's it's eaten!  Unlike TYSON Foods...YUCK!

We have 3 calfs on the places, they are doing great!  They too will be in the freezer at some point!

We also obtained 11 more laying hens, we had requests for more of the green eggs so we will soon be adding to the multi color batches!

It's a busy life, we keep very busy each day we get off!  It's also very self-rewarding and our kids are learning the importance of a job well done!  Soon winter will be here, hopefully we have enough wood to make it through!  Splitting wood in the dead of winter is something I do not recommend!
