You can make a great roast with a cheeper roast. You dont have to buy an expensive roast to have a great meal.Place celey stalks on the bottom of the slowcooker.I use the outside stalks these are tough and hard to eat raw.Slice a med or large onion any kind.Place this on top of celery.Place the roast on top of this.Fill with cold water to about half way up the roast..On top of the water put in one pk of dry brown gravy mix.You can add dry minced onion also and a couple teaspoons garlic salt.If you will be home put on high till it starts to boil then turn down to med.If you will not be home leave on med.Cook 6 hours at least for meat to be tender. This is good for beef. For pork leave out the onion.
