Bread Machine French Bread

The one lb recipe is very like the one I use in my machine...except for the addition of 2 Tbs olive oil. I'll have to try it without to see what the difference is. It's nice that you posted recipes for both size loaves.

This will be my third order from them. I like that I can order online. No taxes. And no impulse buys. They do take credit cards. They have at least 2 different menus, regular and one for seniors/people who need a balanced, precooked diet. I haven't seen these, but assume them to be tv dinners or equivalent. Each regular menu is enough to feed a family of 4 for 1 week. My husband and I can eat 3-4 weeks for $60.

Whatever works

Yes, if it really WORKS, it's worth it. But I seem to be able to manage with a dab of witch hazel beneath my eye cream...Frownies are an old Hollywd thing - Gloria Swanson wears them in SUNSET BLVD. They are old school - but they DO work...

Grocery Shopping

I really try not to waste anything. And I am so careful when it comes to food. You can just cut up onions and put them in zippy bags (I date them) and pop them right in the freezer. Same with peppers. I wash, seed and cut them in strips for fajitas. When I have potatoes that need to be used, i either make mashed potatoes and freeze, or twice-baked and freeze. Just bake the potatoes. Cool. Cut in half. Scop out the potato. Mash with a little milk and butter. Add cheese (any) Scoop back in skin and freeze on a cookie sheet. When frozen, put them in a gallon zippy bag. Individual servings . Reheat in the microwave for 3 miutes or bake for 1/2 hour at 350. I never buy anything that isn't on sale and I am quite the Coupon Queen (if I do say so myself!)

Gallbladder - after surgery
Thursday, April 30, 2009 | By juliejasd

Actually, it's not uncommon to have "post-cholecystectomy syndrome" (cholecystectomy = removal of the gallbladder) which includes diarrhea, pain on the right side of the abdomin, flatulence, bloating, and or nausea. The diarrhea can be caused by too much bile acid entering the large intestine. You should speak with your doctor about this problem to rule out other things, and he can prescribe medication that will help bind or impair the absorption of bile acids. He may also have you cut down on some things like caffeine, dairy products, really sweet foods and greasy foods.

I'm sorry but I've never heard such nonsense about gallbladder removal in my life! In 1997 I had mine removed and I've been perfectly fine ever since. Eating a low fat diet is a no-brainer whether you have gallstones or not. If you're still having difficulty with your bowels I suggest you return to your doctor because there may be some other serious issues going on with your health that you're not aware of.
