My 5 cent pants !!!!

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

I would have to say this is one of my greatest finds as a bargin shopper. I like to cruise thru the clothing isles at the Toys'r' us store. If you watch they tend to have some good clerance prices on clothing. If your really lucky you will be able to find them when they have half off clerance clothing sales. But if you have been doing this as long as i have, and a little bit of luck on your side you will be able to find super bargins. I was walking thru and i spotted the elusive pink tag, I got closer and i thought thats not right. But as i was sure my eyes were decieving me, it was real. Size 8 Reebok sweat pants, blue and black ones mostly. Price: .10 cents !!!!!! I thought wow, I'll give it a try. I was able to find 9 pairs on the rack, amongst the other same pairs were some marked down to 9 dollars. too much for me. But the 10 cent ones you better belive it. I was unsure that they would sell them to me, even though there are laws about pricing and selling, some stores you really have to argue with about mistakes like this. I don't like to argue. So I just take the deals when i can get them. When i got up to the checkout, i was totally suprised. Not only was it the right price, it was one of the lucky half off pink tags days, i didn't even notice. So they rang up .05 cents each, I almost fell over. Whoo hoo The cashier didn't say a thing, and when i got out of the store i was just beaming. Not only did i just hit the jackpot of bargins, my older son is a size 8, perfect.  I think i will frame the recipt.  The msrp said 24.00 dollars, so i got more than 200.00 worth of pants for less then .50 cents!!!!

What is your greatest find?

The best I got once was a pair of Speedo watershoes for $1.00. They were brand new too.

Other Great Purchase Memories

I forgot about a pair of Addidas I got for $3.00 at DSW and the pair of Steve Madden sandals I bought a Birmingham, Michigan rummage sale for $2.00. Those were great purchase memories too! Unfortunately I put the gym shoes on top of my car and went down Woodward Avenue and they fell off somewhere, sometimes I still look at bum's feet to see if they have my beloved Addidas shoes on.

The Steve Madden sandals are great I feel like a sex kitten in them even though I stumble in the frequently while wearing them.

I love this story. My best buy so far this year, is a pair of crimson silk harem style pants for 50cents. From a thrift shop, Yes.. but looking like brand new, and I'm planning to wear them to my birthday party at the weekend!
