I H8 PARVO...

     I am so upset......my 11 mo. old Chihuahua named KEKE just passed away. He died of PARVO. He was just days away from his 1st birthday....April 6, 2009. He passed on March 28, 2009. I did not have any money to take him to the vet. so, I tried giving him PEDIALITE- the stuff for babies. At first he seemed to be doing a little better, but i think he was in sooooo much pain that he just finally gave up.......PARVO is a horrible virus that kills plenty of innocent puppies each year. I'm not quite sure why I wrote this post. I guess I just miss my dog terribly. For everyone with puppies, please try your best to get them vaccinated. You never know, it just might save them from being killed by PARVO............rip KEKE.

I am sorry for your loss of your wee boy. He was very adorable. You gave him a good home, lots of love and food and he knew that. He knew that you loved him and you did your best with what you had. Forgive yourself if you continue to feel you hadn't done enough, as Keke would not want you to live with that. God bless you.

I am so sorry for your loss, I have lost a dog to Pravo too. The next dog that I got, had Pravo and a friend's son was a vet and he told me to give Pepto Bismal and Gatorade. The Pepto was for throwing up and the Gatorade was for the drying up of their systems. My husband and I took turns forcing the Gatorade down her several times a day for 4 days. We were exhausted and glad that she got over it. We gave her orange Gatorade and after that when someone was drinking an orange drink around her, she would run away from them. She does not like orange drinks.
