Help I found Grey Hairs in my Brown and Reddish Hair!
Thursday, December 13, 2007
I was looking in the mirror this morning. I found a lot of little grey hairs spouting every where near my hair line. I have long hair. I want to cut it myself, which I think of me as the family barber, but I don't know how to dye it myself. Can anyone respond with brown hair dye with red tints in it dye job how to in this blog site? How does anyone afford the cost of a mall hair dye beauty salon shop expense of 59 dollars plus tax when you are frugal and poor? Well I hope you can be helpful.

Just buy some hair dye, but use two boxes so you'll have enough to evenly cover your hair.

Try going to a Sally Beauty Supply. They are open to the public and their hair dye is about the same price as walmart. Their staff is very helpful with hair color.

There are several ways to deal with it - 1) Use Roux hair tint (available at Sally's) and/or some hair mascara (ditto) to touch up grey areas.(Good, but not if you sweat as I sometimes do - it will streak then...) 2) Further camouflage grey by using hydrogen peroxide on very dirty hair for streaks, and apply around the face. 3) Investigate using henna for restoring red hair color. 4)Also use red color shampoo/conditioner to maintain red color. (Available now all over.) When you can, sit with shampoo on hair under a shower cap in the bath for 20 minutes to lock in color.
Hope this helps.
