Wednesday, April 02, 2008

What can I use around my house now to clean a silver dish I have that is tarnished. Its the only silver I have and I don't want to purchase a product.

If you have a tube of dark red lipstick, apply some of it ( like writing with it ) in a circle or in lines so a patch of tissue or paper towel is covered rub the lipstick applied part of tissue or papertowel back & forth on your silver dish until it turns black. Wipe with a non lipsticked papertowelk or tissue and see if this is good for you. If not redo this again until it is. Afterwards wash with soapy warm water & dry your dish well.
Sincerely,

P.S it seems that only red lipstick will work on cleaning silver. It does a wonderful job.

Use Toothpaste

This is simple yet very effective.
Dab some toothpaste onto your Silver dish then buff off with a cloth. You will see how wonderful the results are!

Best wishes, Monique :D
