Books I enjoy

"Essential Reiki" by Diane Stein is the book I have taken up to read on all those introspective ,deeply intense moments when one is lost or flounders & the infinite wisdom in the book has always brought me back to solid ground. It may not appeal to those who do not know anything about Reiki but I am sure it will make them  question their existing beliefs--for life is essentially about questioning everything that takes us out of our Comfort Zones.

Is Reiki a religion or is it like a massage?

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others.
