Week Two: Finally Losing Weight
Sunday, August 13, 2006
At the end of week two I finally have some weight loss to report. I exercised 30 minutes 5 days last week and lost 5 pounds. My weight still fluctuates throughout the day but I am reporting my weight after I exercise, which was 208, on the 14th day of my weight loss program. Not really a huge payoff for all the hard work, but I am committed to this for 3 months. So theoretically, I could reach my target of 180 fairly easy at that pace. Next week I hope to exercise 6 days, instead of 5.
Current Weight: 208

Long term permanent weight loss

Hi,
I thik you really need to be committed to changes for life if you want to be succesful, not just three months. While 3 months is a start, you simply won't keep the weight off if you don't make the changes permanent.
I speak from experience on this one. I tried all sorts of diets etc., but it was only when I made serious big changes and decided they had to be for life that I managed to lose the required 30 kgs I needed (about 70 pounds) and keep it off permanently. Now I help my friends do the same, and none of us use any products or anything other than common sense, and keeping away from dairy and processed foods (anything in a packet, package or tin, and anything processed at all).
I really wish you luck and will be watching your blog, so good luck!
3 Months

I am sure you are right about three months. 3 months is how long I am committed to this approach of diet and exersize. If it's not sustainable then I will have to try something else. My hope is for a lifestyle change and continue it if everything works out. The real challenge could be keeping it off during Christmas, assuming I am success between now and then. I have a long way to go! Congratulations on your weight loss!

Studies have shown that properly stretching after exercise can increase the effectiveness of your workout by 20%. Stretching before can cause tight and cold muscles to be injured but stretching after helps keep you loose and feeling good. Good luck from a fellow "want to lose some inches" person.

That explains why stretching helped so much. Thanks for the info. If anyone knows a good site that details a good stretching routine i would love to see it.
