Christmas In the City In the Midwest!
Wednesday, December 12, 2007
Christmas is fun in the MidWest. We get snow. This year it looks new, as we are visiting relations in Minnesota, and trying to get a home to stay in for a while. I went shopping at Target in Moorhead, and I saw they had a dollar only section. They had Christmas gifts there for all the family members. The total I spend each year on Family is $40 dollars. My children got notebooks at a dollar each. That is 10 notebooks/journals with pens. Next My hubby got his favorite Christmas Candy. My mom got a calendar for this next year of the Greek Isles. My sisters each got a baking apron. One doesn't bake her husband does, so it was sort of a joke gift in one. My brother got a hair comb and brush. His is so old that it is cracked and split. It is made of wood. I got him plastic which last forever, so everybody says. My sister-in-law got yellow colored make up bag, as she is high maintenance. The children my nephews and nieces got princess toys and the toy cars. You guess which went to which. All for a dollar plus tax. I also got coffee for the adults that was gourmet for christmas one cup each bags. I guess I will be the one that starts the Christmas fight this year. LOL Only one coffee maker at my relations. My total bill was easier than shopping at Wal-Mart. I always thought Wal-Mart was the cheapest store in the city. I guess I was wrong. Well hot cocoa calls my name and I got to get to wrapping my nieces birthday present for this Saturday. Isn't it cute having a one year old and Christmas all in one month. I don't think so. It is the worst month to have a baby. Worse on the pocketbook that is for us poor. Well have a good day.
