I recently called my credit card company to ask how i could get a lower interest rate as I am trying to pay it off and currently only work part time. I saw that they had cards on their website with better rates than mine. Because I had never missed a payment and was in good standing with them, they decreased my interest by 6%!! So I am now paying 14% instead of 20% just for calling. This took all of one minute. He also said my balance would reflect the new rate in 45 days. Better late than never! I can't believe I didn't call sooner!
